Position Summary:
The Front Desk Coordinator is responsible for delivering excellent customer service and ensuring efficient front office operations. This role manages patient check-in and check-out, verifies insurance coverage, collects payments, schedules appointments, and supports clinical and administrative staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet patients professionally and ensure a positive first impression.
  • Perform accurate patient check-in and check-out procedures.
  • Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and demographic information.
  • Enter and update patient data in the EHR system.
  • Utilize NextGen EHR for scheduling, documentation, and patient records.
  • Collect copays, deductibles, and outstanding balances.
  • Post payments and provide receipts.
  • Answer and route incoming calls promptly and professionally.
  • Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments.
  • Conduct appointment reminder calls and follow-ups.
  • Manage patient flow and coordinate with clinical staff.
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.

Qualifications & Skills:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a medical front office (preferred).
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance plans.
  • Experience with EHR systems (NextGen preferred).
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer applications.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
